A bike life is a blog about you guessed it — a bike life. My name is Dave and I live in Iowa. I started biking seriously in about 7th grade, now that I am 50-something that is indeed a lifetime of cycling. I wish I could say that I have been on the bike constantly all those years but life sometimes got in the way. Along the way I have had multiple careers, married my high school sweetheart and we have eight children. However, I always seem to come back to my first love, the bike.
My current rides are a mid ’90s Specialized StumpJumper, a Redline 925 fixed gear and a restored and highly personalized Bridgestone RB-1. The image at the top of this page is the drivetrain of my RB-1.
For my newest adventure, I had S&S couplings put on my RB-1 and I have been taking it with me in my travels all over the United States.
This blog is about life and the bike, enjoy.
